Are you traveling abroad this Summer or Fall? Here are some items from Amazon that I use when packing and traveling to Europe.
If you are using a carry on only, you’ll need a good clear bag for toiletries and cosmetics. This quart size bag meets TSA requirements. I’ve used it on multiple trips and the plastic and zipper are durable. You can actually fit quite a bit. It comes in a 3-pack.
Some hotel room bathrooms don’t have large vanities where you can place all your items. A hanging travel bag is wonderful to use (if you have room in your luggage). It’s a good way to keep your toiletries organized and actually see what you packed. You won’t waste time looking for your make-up or shampoo. This one even comes with a clear TSA approved cosmetic bag.
10-piece set of small jars are perfect to fill with your must have creams, lotions, serums, or hair gel or hair care you want to bring on your vacation. I’ve used these jars numerous times on trips. They come in a variety of sizes.
If you’re packing your favorite hairdryer, curling iron, or hot rollers, you’ll need a converter to convert the voltage. The converter shown below has plugs for the USA, UK, Europe, and Australia. You can use an adapter plug (in the photo below) to charge your phone. If you don’t already have one, you may want to consider a portable phone charger so your battery doesn’t run out when you’re out and about taking photos and videos.
You can locate your luggage/bags with an Apple AirTag. Protect it from scratches with a silicone holder key chain.
I just used the travel mirror shown below on a recent trip, and it was perfect to set up on the desk in the hotel room to do my make-up. The size is 6.5″ x 8.9″. The mirror folds flat and is lightweight so it doesn’t take up much room in your suitcase.
Travel vacuum storage bags with pump – The set comes with a variety of sizes of bags. It’s a great way to save space in your suitcase so you have room for more items.
Don’t forget to pack a travel umbrella. Hopefully you won’t experience rain on your trip, but it’s always better to be prepared.

Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale opens to the public on July 15th and ends August 4, 2024. I’ve gone through the site and curated a number of looks for you inspired by the fashion and beauty items offered in the sale event.

They are the best and so comfortable. I’ve walked miles in ECCO shoes on many trips and my feet never hurt. I love the beautiful jewel tones of this Eliza J teal ruffle trim long sleeve dress and FRAME blouse in dragon fruit. The multi color Kurt Geiger London shoulder bag can be used for day or evening. The Swarovski oval sunglasses are decorated with a crystal on each side. The linear drop earrings by Deepa Gurani are available in multiple colors. In addition to fashion and accessories, there are many beauty exclusives offered in the sale. The Yves Saint Laurent Couture Color Clutch is a chic ten color eyeshadow pallet. While MAC Cosmetics has a great deal – a lip trio beauty exclusive available in three colors.

Did you know…pink is now a fall color? Shades of pink clothing are sold everywhere right now thanks to the Valentino brand. The fashion house continues to create and launch collections of clothes and accessories in Valentino Pink. It has become so popular that Pantone recently announced they developed a special pink color with Valentino: Pink PP by Valentino. (PP as in Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director of Valentino). Pink PP by Valentino is a bright and flirty pretty color. Since we love Valentino but can’t all afford the luxury brand’s prices, many well known brands are selling clothing, shoes and handbags of a similar pink hue yet are much more affordable.
White House Black Market calls their pink hue of the season “cerise.” The slip-on blazer in cerise is an excellent piece to have in your closet as it is so versatile. The slip-on blazer is kind of a cross between a blazer and sweater. The material is soft and not super structured like a traditional blazer. There are so many ways to style this blazer and the belt is removable.
Another cerise pink item for fall from White House Black Market is the v-neck button down blouse. The blouse which runs true to size has a snake skin texture.
Vince Camuto calls their pink clothing color “wild petunia.” A neck-tie blouse always looks classic and this one from Vince Camuto is available at Nordstrom. They also have a similar top with long sleeves in the same geometric pattern.

The heart shaped purse is festive for Valentine’s Day. The bag can be worn two ways since the crossbody strap is removable. Classic glam make-up is always in style for Valentine’s Day. Here I showed a couple of my favorites: a retro red lipstick staple – Ruby Woo lipstick by MAC and classic black liquid eyeliner – Kat Von D tattoo liner in trooper.
